I keep getting new experience with internet use. Conditions of the pandemic require it.
Besides the usual online teaching, video watching, chatting, article reading, researching, I have found other practices. I've joined in singing practices and too many webinar discussions to count.
I keep learning about the medium. Recently my part in a choir performance of a single song was recorded. I attended a livestream memorial service for the first time. I signed up to play a part in a virtual political rally last Monday. Sometimes there have been screenshots of participants to be circulated later. As well, I produced a simple digital art piece to share in a web project.
In addition, I dropped internet cable TV in favour of live stream programs and movies. I signed up for such a service just a couple of weeks ago, though I know many of you have long done that. There is variety and access to material that is new to me. I am thoroughly enjoying those shows and films. Sidestepping the blockbuster stories, I have found such feature films and series to be deeper, more creative and relevant, especially in the history dramas genre. Some of them have bowled me over, like good, engrossing cinema experiences usually would.
Microsoft Inc. has forced me to get involved in a Cloud system, making me learn more. I am producing texts that may be stored and shared online. I still don't know how to talk about it.
I have also been honing skills at photoshopping. For example, I have found out more about how to alter sizes, filters, framing and sharing of photos lately.
Not my favourite pastime, but I seem to manage, bit by bit, when it seems I must.
